Following the announcement that Port Director, Doug Morrison, is to retire in December, ABP have announced that Nick Ridhalgh, currently ABP Short Sea Ports Director is to take over.

Doug Morrison has seen the size of container ships double and has overseen a huge increase in both the number of cruise ship calls and the size of the cruise ships. Doug also was a major force in creating the Solent LEP and has been its first chairman.
Inevitably, ABP has a major influence on the way the Solent works. We wish Nick Ridehalgh well, and hope to enjoy the same courteous and helpful relationship with him as we have enjoyed with Doug Morrison.
